Was honest about the chances my computer could be repaired. Couldn't resolve issue but sent it.

Very pleased with the Geek Squad. They sent my dying hard drive along with an external hard drive to their data center in Kentucky. They were able to save the files, etc., on the dying hard drive to the external. They saved my files, pictures, etc

Very helpful service both at the store and with the tech team working on transferring the data from my laptop to the external hard drive. Thanks all!

Thank you Geek Squad!! I'm very happy with the data recovery service through Geek Squad after a hard drive failure on my computer. They were able to recover my documents and photos, which I would have been devastated over losing. I was so happy with them, I bought my replacement computer from Best Buy so I have their service protection. THANK YOU!!

The cost wasn’t too bad but the process was wonky. I had to return to sign papers I had already signed in person and when they shipped the drive to their other facility, I was told I couldn’t send a back up drive with it because it could get lost. Huh? So a rep calls me asking to purchase a backup drive. They ultimately allowed me to send my drive I had purchased at Best Buy but it took some complaining.

My computer decided the hard drive was no longer needed and failed. I purchased the computer 3years ago from Best Buy and decided from that great expiernce I would return to Geek Squad. The process was quick and the team covered every item in detail and even helped me get what I needed to get back up and running. Great job!!!

Had a PC die and Geek Squad was able to get all of my stored files and docs off the hard drive so that I did not lose anything. Took a few weeks to ship out and return but it was a lifesaver !

When I saw smoke coming from my external hard drive, I thought everything on there was lost. I took it to my local Geek Squad. They couldn't recover anything there, so they sent it out to see what could be done. I could track it every step of the way. They recovered everything! We're talking over 12,000 pictures!!! I can't thank them enough!

When my hard drive crashed I had not backed up some very important files. The Geek Squad recovered these: Most important is the way the customer service team kept me informed regarding the progress; and called to verify that the files I needed were recovered. Very professional on all levels.

My hard drive crashed. Went to Best Buy and they weren't able to retrieve my data, so they sent it to the Data Recovery Center. They were able to pull my data. It definitely wasn't cheap, but it was worth it for all my documents, music, calendar/contact information and everything else they were able to retrieve!

I have never used this kind of service before. They explained exactly how it works and made me feel comfortable sending my information to be extracted and sent back to me. I plan to use the service again if needed.

The squad did an excellent job of finding a way to retrieve information on my corrupted computer. I'm anxious to get this computer back to see just how many of my files have been retrieved.

They were able to recover the majority of my data from a defective external hard drive. It it did not cost as much as thought it was going to. I do have GS protection plan and that reduced the cost. I got my money’s worth from the plan this year.

There were 2 different Geek squad members that I worked with. The 1st was insecure about everything, even though she actually knew a lot. The 2nd was sure he knew everything, and wanted me to feel subservient to his superior being. As a computer science professor, I commonly deal with both types in my classroom. It's unfortunate that consumer relations doesn't train both with better person-skills.

Our laptop became unresponsive. We took it to Best Buy and the crew that worked on it was fantastic! They were so helpful all the way through the process of trying to recover the data. And they were helpful in recommending a perfect solution to our problem.
