It works good so far. The screen is a little bit dark. But can adjust properly.

Color is very distorted. Does not actually support HDR, per Windows 11 settings. There seem to be refresh stripes horizontally across the whole screen...

Online customer service is worse. They can't do anything and always say i am sorry.

Too much ghosting for mac and it all started after 14 days and unfortunately the return period passed away. Helpless. Waste product. Strongly don’t recommend for Mac setup.

Recommended 4K monitor for photo/color work

This is a very good 4K monitor with an excellent color gamut. It's NOT a gaming monitor (5ms, 60 Hz) but designed for color work at which it excels for the price. I have both this and the ASUS ProArt PA279 and I think this is superior (and less expensive). Used with an M4 Mac mini with no issues.
Note that this does not have USB-C so you use DisplayPort or HDMI to connect. It does have a built-in USB 3.0 HUB with 3 ports which I have not used.
Is it the Apple Studio Display 5K? No. But it's 1/5 the price.

I was looking to replace my 27" 1080P secondary monitor I use for work and I knew it had to have a higher resolution than 1080P but not necessarily 4K. After much searching, I came across this Samsung ViewFinity S8 27" 4K monitor on sale for $169.99! I was hesitant to purchase this unit because it also has an IPS display which are notorious for backlight bleed and/or IPS glow unless it is Mini LED. I knew it wouldn't have Mini LED given its price so I took a chance. Luckily, my unit does not seem to have any backlight bleed nor IPS glow and it seems to have good screen uniformity. The only thing I wish this had was at least two HDMI ports but it's not that big of a deal given the price. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

I thought this was the newer S80UD with USB C. It is not. That was not the biggest problem. As soon as I realized, after placing the order, it hasn't shipped yet, I could not cancel the order. Customer support said I have to physically take it back to store. Unbelievable! I could understand if the order already shipped but it did not, but I was still not able to cancel. Even customer service was not able to cancel the order and advised me to take it to store once I receive the item or ship it back.
