I purchased this robot after reading the great reviews and wasn't disappointed! "Jeeves" lives in my downstairs closet that conveniently has an outlet and comes out twice a week to vacuum and mop my downstairs. I have carpet, wood and tile and it does a great job. It does need to take a break to recharge for about 3 hours, the area is around 1500 sq ft. It is very efficient at getting itself unstuck and has mapped the rooms accurately. I love adding the no-go zones, I just added the corner where my Christmas tree is located so that it doesn't accidentally grab my tree skirt!
My only problem with it is that it is very difficult to run the robot on a non-mapped level. I tried several times to get it to run in my upstairs and it was haphazard at best. Because of that we decided to get a second Shark Robot. We picked up a lesser expensive version to see how it worked and wasn't nearly as happy with it. So we returned it and purchased a second Shark PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro who is named "Rosie".
The doc on this unit is very stable and allows the robot to seat securely when it returns to empty its dust bin. I wish the dust bin on the robot could hold more so that it didn't have to return to dock as often, but really, I'm not having to do anything, so it's not that big of an issue.
The mopping feature is a wonderful addition; my floors are getting cleaned far more often that when I used to be in charge!
I have had Jeeves now for almost 5 months and other than cleaning out the dirty water bin (which can get pretty gross), filling the cleaner solution and emptying out the main dust bin monthly this robot has left me with a clean home and lots of time on my hands! I would highly recommend it.

I’ve had this Shark vacuum for a bit now, and honestly it’s been such a win for my 1200 sq ft apartment. My robot’s name is Bubbles, and Bubbles does not play around when it comes to cleaning! The vacuuming is great, it picks up my long hair with no trouble. You don’t have to babysit the robot either. The thing I was most worried about was the mopping feature getting my rugs wet, but it’s actually amazing at avoiding them. I don’t have to move anything or set up a million “no-go” zones. It just knows what to mop and what not to. The NeverTouch base is great too because I literally don’t have to deal with the mop pads. It cleans itself, dumps itself, recharges, and goes right back out like it pays rent. For the size of my apartment, the coverage and suction are perfect, and it never feels like it’s missing spots. Overall, Bubbles is officially part of the household at this point. If you want something low-maintenance, smart, and actually good at not soaking your rugs, this thing is worth it. I just recommend grabbing one of these while they’re on sale. Make sure you check differences between models, as some of them don’t clean the mop pads for you!

I was not expecting this level of cleaning. I purchased the shark to help keep the floor clean and reduce some of the workload after a long workday. With the scheduling function, we are able to vacuum and mop of separate days which is a tremendous help. I especially love the option to be conservative with the mop water usage. With the use of less water, it is still able to clean the flooring efficiently.
I would definitely recommend this product because of the many features that make if a great fit for on the go parents!

I wanted this Robot but at the time I thought the price was too much so I purchased the Eufy, and that one was defective, like really bad...but happily when I returned the Eufy to Bestbuy this one had gone on sale that day and I was able to to an even exchange. Let me tell you, this robot is insanely good, I've had a roomba robot vac for about 3 years and I thought that was the industry standard. This Shark out does it hands down, and the mopping function is far better than I thought it would be. Overall this does an incredible job. I have pets and have a lot of tile flooring in my house and when this robot is done mopping I'd say my floors are about 98% perfect. it may miss one or two little spots of dog drool, but in fairness I have to scrub those areas a few times with a mop myself to get them up. If you purchase this robot with the right expectations it will exceed them everytime. I LOVE it!

This is one of the worst robo vacuum and mop I have ever used.. I bought this after watching many youtube videos and thinking it would be great… But it’s not…
Its app is having so many flaws and not at all user friendly. It sometimes get stuck to a place and repeatedly clean that spot even though it’s absolutely and drains its battery.. Once recharged, it resumes the same clean spot and gets stuck there and finally ends up leaving the other rooms for cleaning.. Don’t have option to skip.. VacMop option is the worst, it doesn’t even enter to some rooms for cleaning and ends the mission… So many more issues.. I gave it many chances by resetting and remapping and doing factory reset but every time new issues… Once it was not ready to start cleaning as in the app it was showing 10% charge whereas it has been charging forever.. When I reset it, it showed me 100% charge… Overall I am absolutely disappointed and frustrated with this..

Love love love!!!!!
We've had this for almost a month now, and I couldn't imagine life without it! From the convenience of not having to vacuum and mop everyday, not having to dump out the rubbish or wash the mop pads everyday, this easily is worth the cost! And even when we had been sent a defective robot, within two days Shark had sent us a new one for free! No problems, no hassle, no pain!
We tested out the quality of clean, and especially the spot clean setting, it scrubbed so well! It can be loud when its dumping the easte and cleaning the mop pads, but its for a short moment, and honestly, a little bit of noise is an easy trade off for the quality and convenience that this robot provides to me!

At first the vacuum performance had us very impressed, while the app was disappointing. After less than two weeks of using, we will be returning this. Here is why;
1) device won't mop anymore due to an error we can find no information about on Shark's website, app or in the device manual. The vacuum says something is in the way of the dock while the app says the mop needs the mop head manually attached. Nothing we tried is resolving the error
2) the app is horrible. We have multiple Roombas and are really surprised that Shark's app didn't have basic things such as live updates on where vacuum is at during current job. App also continuously shows it activated NeverStuck, but when you click to see the report about where it got stuck, it shows a map of what it cleaned with no details on where it was stuck. Also, the app loads very slow and the customer support chat doesn't function.
3) the mop reservoir/solution is supposed to last about 30 days. We have it mopping less than 600 sq ft only 8 times and it used 80% of the fresh tank already.
4) It isn't running the schedule jobs at the right time. I have it set to start jobs at 12:30 and it keeps starting them at 4:15. The history of cleaning shows many different cleaning runs not started manually or by the schedule. It also shows a day where it did not run on schedule, but there's no info on why it didn't.
5) it has already started having errors about sensors being blocked and needing cleaned.
All in all, not as hands off as advertised and the lack of support for troubleshooting led us to return the item. We will not be buying a shark robot vacuum again.

I love this Shark robot vacuum and mop combo! Setup was super easy and it connected to the app right away. The vacuum does a great job picking up dust, crumbs, and pet hair, and the mop function really surprised me—it actually leaves the floors looking clean instead of just damp. The self-emptying and self-refilling features are a game changer; I don’t have to think about it every day, which makes it so convenient.

Im not sure if i got a dud or what, my vacuum does some crazy things sometimes, it doesn’t seem to vacuum very well, it will say it's done when the rooms i have set up aren't yet done, i had a problem at the beginning- it kept telling me to fill the clean water tank when it was full but shark sent me a new tank and it fixed that.i got this because of the mopping option but haven't used it much since it's taking so long to vacuum first, it doesn't look like it will vacuum before it mops you have to set to vacuum bare floors first. Also, It has just stopped a couple of times for no apparent reason. The pictures attached were right after it had vacuumed my kitchen, i had it go over it again and just watched it to make sure it was vacuuming the whole area. And it has gotten stuck a couple of times in a step down area that i had blocked off. I had a different brand but it didn't mop, i should have just kept that one.

We have 2 Dalmatians and a small Dodson and their hair will clog the vacuum every time. It gets trapped in the robot and won’t suck the debris back into the substation. It also has a filter in the substation that smells horrible after 2 weeks. We had to purchase extra filters off of Amazon, because no amount of cleaning will remove the smell of the filter. We tried everything from dawn dish soap to baking soda. We were excited at first, but after 3 weeks we want to return it. Another issue we have is it allows for scheduled vacuums, but once you create a schedule it won’t let you delete it. You literally have to go day by day indefinitely to change settings.

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry to hear that your expectations weren’t met, especially after the initial excitement. Pet hair can be particularly challenging for some vacuums, and it’s frustrating when the system doesn’t perform as hoped. The odor issue with the substation filter and the difficulty managing the schedule settings also sound incredibly inconvenient. We’d like to help explore possible solutions. Please contact our Customer Service team at 1-888-228-5531 so we can look into options that may be available to you. We are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ET, and Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. ET.
Kind Regards, Shark Clean.

The One RoboVac to Rule Them All...almost!

This robot vacuum/mop combo really has it all. Not only does it vacuum and mop on its own, the dock station has a built-in reservoir for lots of mopping and emptying with no involvement from you. And it attaches and detaches the mop so that when it's vacuuming, it can be the best vacuum. It has a lot of super smart features and overall works great. However, it's not perfect - for the price point, there are a couple of things, mostly on the software side, that are not quite as good as they should be. Hopefully, future updates will fix some of these.
PROS
- Almost entirely self-contained
- Strong vacuum picks up all dust, dirt, debris
- Mop does a good job cleaning
- Station holds cleaning water, dirty water, & vacuuming debris
- Perfect Map of House Floors
- Easy to set up Rooms and clean just specific room/s
- Spot Cleaning works great
- Great at getting over and around obstacles
- Brilliantly detects carpet/rugs vs Hard Floors
- Easy to set up NO GO boundaries/areas
- Great maps to show cleaned areas after completion
CONS
- Alexa/Google Assistant integration not working
- Not great at navigating around chair legs/dining room table
- Not great at updating in-process cleaning in app
- Pricey
- Manuals/Guides/Instructions somewhat lacking
I have owned MANY robot vacuum cleaners over the last ten years, including a couple that did have "mopping" capabilities, but this is by far the most advanced one I've owned. I never used the mopping on the old ones because it required manually filing the tank then telling it to mop and then manually filling it again when it ran out of water during the middle - also it was pseudo-mopping, not real mopping. This Shark PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro fixes all those issues with it's smart design that let's you really "set it and forget it."
A robot vacuum is only as good as its ability to actually clean so let's start with that. This robot has strong suction and while at first I was surprised that it only has one spinning brush on one side where most robot vacs have two (one on each side) it seems to have been designed and programmed in such a way that it just doesn't need two in order to clean. It vacuums and picks up dust, dirt, dog hair, food crumbs, etc with no problem at all and seems to get everything off the floor. It has done an excellent job vacuuming our kitchen (with several thick anti-fatigue mats), dining room, hallway, guest bathroom (with two floor rugs) and large open walk-through area which have both wood laminate flooring and tile (bathroom & kitchen).
I previously had a robot vacuum that also did a great job vacuuming, but where this one sets itself apart is the mopping capability. It also does an excellent job mopping. It covers every square inch of all the rooms mentioned above (except for the bathroom since the floor there is mostly covered by rugs so the vacuum intelligently knows not to mop there) and it actually mops and cleans the floors. The mop even extends out a bit from the base of the vacuum on demand to reach edges! My spouse is obsessed with house cleaning and this means he'll not have to mop the floors himself nearly as often since this Shark PowerDetect mopping robot actually does a great job mopping and cleaning all the hard floor surfaces.
When you start the robovac for the first time, it drives all over your house mapping out all the floors. When it's done, you have a perfect map of all the rooms it could get to. You can then inside the app, designate and name specific rooms/areas, and you can also designate NO GO rooms/areas. This Shark robovac adheres to those rules exactly. I can go in the app and tell it to vacuum the hallway and it will go to the hallway and vacuum then return to its dock. I can tell it to mop the kitchen floor and it will mop the kitchen floor. And I can leave bedroom doors open without worrying about it going into the bedrooms since I've marked them as NO GO zones.
So, just as a robovac, the Shark PowerDetect is great! But what makes it worth the
higher cost is the NeverTouch station and the intelligent way this robovac can take care of everything on its own. The station has two water reservoirs - a large one that holds the cleaning solution and a smaller one for "dirty" water for after cleaning. The robot not only mops the floors but after returning to the station it self-cleans the mop and the dirty water from that process is deposited into a reservoir for emptying later. It then dries the mop as well so it'll be clean and ready for the next job. The station also has a bagless dirt bin where the robovac self-empties after vacuuming. This is a large bin that won't need to be emptied often and it also has a nice odor neutralizing exhaust. Depending on how often you run the vacuum and mop the floors, you might not have to empty the bins or refill the mop water but once every 3-6 weeks.
Another super cool thing this Shark robovac does is attach and detach the mop from itself. I don't know how it does this, but it does. When vacuuming, the robot detaches the mop and leaves it in the base station so that it's not being dragged around getting dirty while vacuuming. Then when it's time to mop, it reattaches the mop and gets to it. Also if the robovac runs out of cleaning solution during mopping, it will return to the station, refill, then continue. In the app, you can tell the Shark PowerDetect Robot to vacuum the whole house OR mop the whole house OR vacuum then mop the whole house. Oddly, when selecting specific rooms to clean you only get the choice of vacuuming OR mopping, but you can choose to vacuum then mop which I think is rather lame.
The vacuum does a great job of detecting objects (it won't crash into your precious furniture) and floor surfaces. It won't mop on carpet! And if it needs to go over a rug to get to another hard floor area, it lifts the mop up higher so it doesn't touch the carpet. It also is able to get over things like thick mats with no problem. One thing it doesn't do so well is navigate around dining room table chair legs. I'm not sure if this is because it's so obsessed with making sure no inch is uncovered, but we started putting the chairs on top of the table when we run it sometimes because it will spend as much time vacuuming around the dining room table as the whole rest of the house and this is because of the way it navigates around the chair legs. (Our previous robovac handled this gracefully and had no issues.) Maybe a future firmware update will fix this issue - I hope so!
The Shark PowerDetect Robovac could use some improving in the software and app area. Although I had no problem connecting my Shark account to Alexa and Google Home, neither are able to detect the vacuum. I've tried many troubleshooting steps to no avail. I miss the ease of telling Alexa to have my robovac clean which is what I generally did with my previous one. Also, my previous robovac app allowed me to see exactly where the robot was during cleaning and had exact routing that showed every move of the robovac. The Shark app only updates the location of the robot from time to time and doesn't show where it's been or it's route. Once a cleaning is complete, you can view a map that shows the entire area cleaned and indicates vacuumed only, mopped, and powerboost areas, but it doesn't show you the specific route/s. The app also doesn't send notifications when things are started or done which would be nice.
There was no guide/manual in the box which isn't a big deal, but the app and the online guides also were not the best. Getting set up was easy, but there's not great info on things like "How often do I need to replace the mop pad? Will the robot/app tell me?" Not a huge deal since I'm fairly techy and good at figuring stuff out, but I wish there was a good video that just was like a "you got a new product you've never used before, here are the highlights, here's how it works, here are the important things you need to know." One good video could replace a 20 page guide easily enough.
Overall, I'm so far loving the Shark PowerDetect Never Touch Robot Vacuum and Mop! It's super intelligent, great at vacuuming and mopping, and mostly a set-it and forget it device. I do hope they can improve the dining room table & chair navigation and fix the Alexa integration as these are two of the biggest things that keep it from being perfect along with a few app/software improvements. But the hardware is nearly flawless. The docking station with the water reservoirs and dust bin and automatic everything really gives you all that you could want in a floor cleaning robot.
