Geek squad install my starlink

Buy Buy Contracted Installers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not use the Best Buy contracted installers. They came two times and always had an excuse for why they couldn't do it. We used a private company and they were awesome.

Installed poorly

One of the worst experiences I have ever had

I paid for geek squad delivery and installation of a satellite internet and after 8 and I mean 8 calls and schedule dates all 8 we’re not able to do the installation because they sent the installer from a different location than the pick up of the equipment so he could not install because he did not pick up the equipment and bring it and after calling and saying over and over again you must send a person from the store where the equipment is ready for pick up so they can actually have it in hand they just do the same thing over and over again. They act like they understand but just can’t see they are sending a person with no equipment in hand to actually do the job. After a month of rescheduling and having to change our life plans to be at home 8 times just to have them over and over again not bring the equipment to do the job is just mind blowing in this day and age. I read many bad reviews and they all are completely correct. Your schedule department just can’t do simple things in my mind to actually send a person from the correct store to do a job. It could have been shipped and at one point that was the plan, it never showed so we missed another installation date. In the end we just had to cancel. Best Buy just could not figure out how to do the job they offered and I paid for, over and over again over 30 days. There is no way to actually talk to the store either so you just get a call center and they just have no idea how to actually get the job done after acting like they do. It does not happen as you are told. Just in shock.

Installation is contracted out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This service is disappointing; The first time I scheduled this service I had planned for a roof installation. The installer called me the morning it was supposed to be installed to let me know that they could not install on a roof for insurance purposes. This would have been nice to know ahead of time. I had to order the wall mount and reschedule for one week later. On arrival, the installer let me know that he could only install this as high as he could reach as insurance wouldn't let them use ladders for installation. This also would have been nice to know ahead of time. My receiver is now installed approximately 6 feet from the ground on the side of my house and facing east because that's the best he could do. I decided to see what I could do with it where it is. I attempted to set up my service via the app and after about 2 hours it tells me that Starlink is misaligned by 72 degrees. Now, I have nothing against the installer as he was a general contractor who did a great job with the install itself; he hid the wiring as much as possible and made sure he left the work area clean. If I could give him 5 stars, I would. I was under the impression that the installer would be someone who is familiar with Starlink and what direction it needs to be facing and such, this installer said it was his first Starlink installation. I get that everyone needs a 'first' but he should have been given some information on how this needs to be installed to be functional. Overall, I'm disappointed with the lack of communication with BestBuy from the roof installation, ladder use, and not letting the installer know what to expect. I am going to have to hire someone else to properly mount my receiver on the north side of my house in order to use Starlink.

Worst service had to pay another company!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came out drilled holes twice in my house System barely worked after install. we had to hire another local company to come out and do it the right way they have been in business for years. Should’ve hired a private company from the start. We ended up using them for the install on our camp up north as well.

Not best buy get real professionals thru google
