    … got the measurements wrong and had to put extra holes in my apartment walls which will cost me. Very nice guys tho.

    I paid to have my TV hung by Best Buy to minimize the damage to my brand new wall. The first crew that showed up hung the TV off center and 6 inches lower than I had asked. When I complained to the technician a second team was sent and when we took the TV down I realized the first team had actually tried twice to hang the TV making 16 extra holes in the wall. The second technician then measured from the wrong pencil mark and hung the TV 6inches too high. At that point the TV could only be moved down 3 inches without revealing any of the 24 extra holes drilled in the wall. It cost $500 to fix the wall so now I’m out $750 and my TV isn’t hanging,

    Ill start by they Left parts off of the mount and threw them away a bolt in bracket was not secured to tv just hanging in mount not attached asked them to put tv 6 inches above shelf so game system and sound bar would fit under mounted it 3 inches from shelf they threw away all extra parts to sonos mount so I cant put screw that fits in and attach my tv to mount refused to run hdmi cords or electric cords said it was a extra charge and I would need to purchase a kit from best buy first even though i had a kit from amazon and I would need to reschedule a install package again.. bad business all around

    I recently used Best Buy’s TV setup and mounting service, which costs $249 for delivery and wall mounting. However, I was disappointed with the overall service. It appears that the actual installation is carried out by a third-party contractor and bad communication between them and Best Buy, which may explain the low level of service provided. While the installation itself was completed, several issues arose. Many additional services—such as cable management or proper alignment—were not included and came with extra charges, despite initial impressions from Best Buy’s promises. Furthermore, the installers did not clean up the mess left behind from drilling, which was something I had expected as part of the service. For those considering this option, I would suggest exploring alternatives. Many specialized installation companies offer similar services at a significantly lower price, often for two-thirds or even half of what Best Buy charges, with potentially better customer care.

    A year ago this service was phenomenal. This time the quality of work and service were not close to a year ago. Cables behind mounted TV were not tight and close to TV as they were for the TV they removed. Other TV had cables EVERYWHERE for a simple add-on of Sonos Connect. As photo shows, Geek Squad made no effort to put cables behind the furniture as was the case before the add on. Compliments of the local store manager, he asked his team to submit an order for a re-do.

    First off. I used to work for best buy in service. I know what to expect. This is far below acceptable even from a 3rd party (which I was never informed would be the case, I pay for Best Buy for a reason). With a window of 7am to 1 pm, they show up over an hour past 1 pm. My wife is there, she works from home. All they asked her was “how high”. They do the job and leave. I come home to the bottom fixture that was “installed” to run wires in the wall hanging loose due to them cutting a hole in my BRAND NEW HOME’S wall TOO BIG, a huge pile of sheetrock dust all over the floor (both of these hidden by my tv stand that they placed back in front of it) and the tv itself mounted WAAAAY too far over than would make any logical sense (not in the center of the wall and viewing area, about 2 feet over to the right close to the side wall), which they never even asked where to mount it (though I had the tv propped up on the wall exactly where it should have went). I can not contact support or write a review on the specific order as its been hours since they left and it’s conveniently still “not closed”. I mounted the tv in my bedroom myself for several hundred dollars less with better results, i was just hoping to save some time and headache with a much larger tv. Never will use best buy for service again.

    Install techs were very nice and friendly. Tv mounted… crooked. Left side is about an inch and a half lower than the right. Currently on hold with geek squad to see if they can send someone out to fix this. They will be out to fix on Friday - 2 days from now. At first I thought the tv was looking crooked from being pulled out and tilted down, after pushing it in and straightening the tilt, it’s still obviously crooked. Definitely should have checked everything well instead of assuming it was installed level and it was just the angle it was set at. I’m hoping the fix goes well and I’m not left with exposed holes. Not happy with this installation but at least they’re willing to send someone out to fix it soon
