A: this device is modem ONLY! no routing, no wifi, no telephone support.
A: Yes they will hook you up just call and they will ask for the number off the modem, a tec. that came to my house told he ,said it was easy .if you all ready have one of theirs you will get a small drop in your bill about 12 dollars.
Q: will this work with optimum cable/ cablevision ?
A: It will work. Don't buy Arris, is the same freaking company but somehow doesn't work.
Q: How many Ethernet ports are there?
A: There is ONE Ethernet port.
A: If you buy this modem, you would also have to purchase a router. If you are paying for a certain speed Mbps for your wi-fi at Xfinity be sure the modem will be able to take that much speed. Otherwise, you are paying for speed that you will never be able to experience (because of the modem) through no fault of Xfinity.
Q: I do not see a place to plug in the phone. Can this accommodate Time Warner phone?
A: Yes! However you would need to purchase a VOIP Adapter - used to adapt your phone to this modem. Your phone would plug into the VOIP Adapter - which would plug into your Motorola Cable modem.
Q: Will this modem be compatible with Suddenlink??
A: Yes, it is compatible.
