A:Answer I had the same issue. I've never used a displayport cable before, so (for this cable it has a ridge at the end). You must press the ridge portion when inserting and removing. If you don't press it, sometimes it doesn't connect properly, and your get the message, " not active". The ridge gives a sturdy connection so it doesn't come off or loosen. I think that's good, since the cable is a little heavier than standard cables. Another question I had trouble finding was the power consumption. It uses more power when playing at the highest refresh rate. (83.6 watts compared to others at 40 watts). I wonder why HP doesn't display that? No all people are that tech savvy, like myself.
