A:AnswerI had the same issue with the ring doorbell although not through an adobe wall. I was using it through a straight vinyl siding wall. The issue seems to be more on the ring doorbell side as the wireless Receiver and transmitter’s are not very strong. The extender that’s running the ring doorbell on everything else gives really strong signal.
A:AnswerIt worked for me at a much longer length, though I will say that I'm not getting the full 1000Mbps signal. That said, I didn't need the full bandwidth...I'm still getting 15-20Mbps.
A:AnswerThe device is rated for 110 and the plug configuration is set for that (with the grounding pin). Most 220v 50hz outlets won't have a port for grounding pins.
A:AnswerSounds like you're setting it up correctly. Have you attempted it in a different wall? Or, if available, moving the router to a different place?
A:AnswerThe data sheet for the PL1000 says it consumes 3.74w when active. that is around 32.7 kWh per year. I doubt the consumption will be an issue for you.
A:AnswerThis product does nothing for WiFi signal strength and will only help your situation if the doorbell has an Ethernet port and you can run an Ethernet cable to it.
As an alternative, if you have an outlet nearer the doorbell you can look into the Netgear PLW1000 which DOES extend WiFi coverage.
A:AnswerYes. When you buy the PLW1000 it comes with 1 PLW1000 and 1 PL1000.
Maybe. As long as the adapters are using the same HomePlug specs it should work fine (regardless of brand). The newer models use HomePlug AV. They can exist together with HomePlug 1.0, but as separate networks, as they cannot communicate with each other.
A:AnswerShort answer is no. Powerline networking won't cross phases. So, any attempt to carry over through a transformer will be futile. That is unless you have a line from your circuit cabinet to the desired house (if you can flip a switch in your home and it impacts the other).
A:AnswerThe instructions say not to do this. Your speed will most likely be reduced if you do. However, technically, it will work, just not as good as intended.
A:AnswerIt syncs automagically as soon as you have everything hooked up. as long as you have everything connected properly and the rooms you are using are on the same circuit (in you walls) then it should start working almost immediately
