A:AnswerThis is just a modem, it only has a single ethernet connection. You will need a separate router or wifi router. Most wifi routers will allow you to turn off wifi and just use the router.

Please also note that you need a separate router/switch if you plan to connect more than one device. (Wired Only).
A:Answeri do not do that -- as irecall the insructions are to have it stand upright -- i'm not a tech person but it probably allows better air circulation.
