A:AnswerHi old timer! I started buying LPs in 1957.
You can use this unit with your old amp/receiver. It has switch-selectable mag cartridge or line level outputs. However you connected your old turntable, you can connect this one the same way.
A:AnswerIt comes with one that works very well, so no. But I did end up upgrading to a Shure-M77, which gives you a little more range and less record wear. The one it comes with is of very good quality (exceptional if you consider the price of the unit)
A:AnswerThe unit contains a built-in RIAA-equalized preamp. It is switch-selectable between PHONO and LINE output, the latter being thru the preamp. You don't need an additional preamp.
A:AnswerYes, as this turntable has no built in speaker. But it does have it's own built in amp. So you don't need an individual amp or amp/receiver. But you do have to have a speaker with it's own power source, like computer speaker or some of the larger portable stereo speakers that are out now. The switch on the back of the turntable needs to be switched to 'phono' if you have the RCA plugs out to a receiver/stereo system with an amp. If you are using powered speakers (stand alone) then the switch on the back needs to be switched to 'line out' to utilize the internal amp in the turntable. I plug into a marshall stereo speaker which has it's own power source. Wonderful sounding for a small all in one speaker but a bit pricy. You can get less expensive powered speakers or a good set of computer speakers and plug in via 'line out' from the turn table.
A:AnswerThank you for your inquiry. Yes, the AT-LP120 will connect to a Windows 7 system and you can listen to vinyl albums through your computer speakers. Using Audacity 1.3.14 software you can convert your albums to CD's or mp3 files.
A:AnswerNo this turntable does not have auto return of the arm at the end of record play. It has a lever that raises the arm once record is over then you manually place it back on the arm rest.
A:AnswerThe AT-LP120BK-USB Turntable does not feature Bluetooth. However, you could make it Bluetooth capable by connecting a Bluetooth transmitter to it.
A:AnswerYou would have to use the same input jack on the subwoofer that you use now to connect the computer to the speakers. We provide a dual RCA female to 3.5 mm stereo mini-plug adapter cable with the turntable that can help with this (connect the adapter cable to the INPUT jack on the subwoofer), but you may need to use an RCA extension cable (dual RCA female to dual RCA male) between the cable attached to the turntable and the adapter cable in order to reach the subwoofer.
A:AnswerThis turntable has a line out and phono out option. I use the line out with red and white composite cords (included with the turntable), and plug it into the body of a very basic media player system that I have. If you have any speaker system with red & white composite input, you can use this turntable without any additional accessories needed.
A:AnswerNot exactly. This turntable does have a built in amp but you need to flip the switch on the back to line out and plug into a powered speaker. Like computer speakers or some other speaker that has it's own power source. Not sure if your sonos playbar does or not. The switch on the back can either be on phono (if what you are plugging into has an amp, like a receiver/stereo system) or switch to line out and again plug into powered speaker. The USB on this turntable I do not believe can be plugged in to another component to 'listen' to whats on the turntable. The USB on this turntable is for ripping songs off a record to the usb. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerTypically when we hear this, the tracking force (stylus pressure) is incorrect (set way to heavy) as a result of the tonearm not being calibrated correctly (balanced and zeroed) prior to setting the tracking force during setup of the turntable. Go back and check this procedure per the instructions on page 6 of the Installation and Operation manual. Make certain that the counterweight on the rear of the tonearm is installed with the black stylus force gauge ring that is semi-attached to the front of the weight is facing forward (toward the user). If the weight was installed backwards (the ring is facing the back of the turntable, away from the user) it will not be possible to set the tracking force correctly. The acceptable tracking force range is from 1.5 to 2.5 grams.
A:AnswerIt depends. You can leave it as one side/one file, or you can go in after the recording and break the songs up into individual tracks so you can access each song whenever you want (each song is an individual file).
A:AnswerIt is a 3 speed turntable. It has a 33 1/3 button, and a 45 button. If you push the two buttons simultaneously the turntable will turn at 78 rpm.
