A:AnswerYou don't download anything to the Chromecast. Think of it as making a dumb TV into a smart TV. All the apps are stored on your phone and casted into your TV.
A:AnswerYes, but you have to open the Chrome browser and use the casting feature there to “mirror” your screen. You have to leave Chrome running, although you can minimize it. It does not support Miracast, but Chrome has the back end you need to enable screen mirroring.
A:AnswerNot necessarily. This allows you to "stream" the content on your laptop or phone to the TV without having it directly plugged in. It would offer you convenience, but not better picture quality.
A:AnswerThat's not how it works. Apps on your phone that support Chromecast, such at Netflix, Direct TV Now, YouTube, YouTube TV, and many others can be cast from you phone to the TV. What happens is that the session gets handed of to the Chromecast so streaming content is directly between the Chromecast and the content provider. No dependency on your once the content is cast. You can also cast photos and music
A:AnswerNot natively (as in the Amazon app doesn't support 'casting' directly to it). You can, however, mirror your device's screen onto the Chromecast or mirror the tab if you're using a PC browser.
A:AnswerWhen casting any compatible app it shows full screen and you can also still use your phone/device without interrupting the casting. If you're using an app like Amazon prime that isn't supported by casting your screen sharing capabilities are limited and streaming is based on download quality/file size
A:AnswerIt does work with an iPhone or iPad to mirror content with apps that support chromecast but there’s no ‘built in’ or screen mirroring function. So you can stream Netflix or Hulu from your iPhone to the chromecast no problem but if an app doesn’t have the chromecast Ivón you’re SOL.
A:AnswerTry downloading the google home app. There it will show you all of the apps (Netflix, Bravo, YouTube etc) that you can cast from. As long as your iPad supports the latest apps, you shouldn’t have a problem casting using the chrome-cast. I use an iPhone 7 to cast. I go through the individual apps that support chrome-cast.
A:AnswerIn the end...it's as simple as;
One can not get up to 5-8x the performance out of the same power-draw/source...
The majority of non direct netpowered USB output/power sources do not provide sufficient power. (Even on appliances that ARE connected to netpower sockets, like a TV or PC)
Nearly 99.9% of all current TV's and appliances that can be connected to TV do NOT provide enough power to a Chromecast 2nd Gen....especially the Chromecast Ultra.
It is like attempting to power a cruise ship electric pod-motor with the battery of a electric bycicle or its charger....it might spark, but it won't budge or move performance too weak thus non-functional.
A USB PowerBank with an output of 2.4A(mps) PER PORT will likely be sufficient yet not very convenient for obvious reasons. (Might be nice for testing purposes...keep in mind likely is that it will not provide enough power...or only for a short time)
In other words...if the USB connector used to power the chromecast is not specifically designed to power or charge a device that uses/draws tons of power like high-end smartphones do...then don't bother trying it to work.
For battery powered devices it does work to use a weager pOwer sour celebrity then required...but only because it slows down the discharge of the and power draw from the battery...if the usage (output) exceeds the input (USB port supplying power) it might slow down drainage of a device with battery....tho they do not power a device using the same amount of power without battery. (In such a scenario the battery is acting as a buffer providing the required amount of power)
[HERE IS WHAT TO LOOK FOR;]
Every adapter has a mandatory label/sticker stating Input and Output, voltage(V) and - watts(W) or amps(A)
Check what it states on both.
If the used power source used for the chrome cast has a lower W or A value it will not work (properly) and provide a complaint/error-message.
You can make sure the output of the power source is the same or higher then that stated on the supplied power-brick/adapter that came with the package. (((Voltage should always be 5V or 5 Volts, default (micro) USB voltage)))
A small amount of TV's and appliances provide enough power to power a chromecast 2nd Gen or Chromecast Ultra...but even the mere few that dó provide sufficient amount of power....those appliances other have several USB connectors sharing 1 internal power source. ...
So one must attempt to find the USB port that provides enough power AND unplug ALL other devices from the additional USB ports first. (Even in an off or standby state appliances can draw power, thus potentially reducing required power to other devices)
Make sure to unplug the display/TV and Chromecast before EACH change made to make sure it will succeed.
Note; (KEEP IN MIND, WHENEVER TURNING OFF APPIANCES WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE TURNING THEM BACK ON SOME HAVE A "MEMORY EFFECT" MAKING THEM REMEMBER THE LAST STATE FOR UP TO 3 MINUTES, THUS WAITING FOR 3 MINUTES OR MORE BETWEEN ÉACH CHANGE IN UNPLUGGED STATE ENSURES MEMORY OF RECENT USAGE AND ACTION BEING WIPED THUS UNPLUGGING AND TURNING BACK ON BEING EFFECTIVE)
For the geeks; Yes, the above does not count for majority of appliances but once one is troubleshooting one should always keep in mind to take every precaution to make sure nothing is missed out on.
Half measures only work for half-measured intended work or tasks....doing it right is checking it properly and twice.
A:AnswerYes and No... Mainly No though. So you have to select what you want to play with your phone or tablet. No getting around that. However, once playing, by LG tv remote does let me pause/play the video. Nice that I dont have to go back to my phone for that basic action.
A:AnswerThe ability for chromecast to display content from apps is based on both, the Chromecast having the supported app as well as the app on your mobile device supporting Chromecast. I'm not aware of the amount of memory in the device, but it auto updates with new apps as long as it's connected to the internet.
A:AnswerIf the app have a streaming icon yes. If not try downloading the local cast app and change the filmstruck video player to other. Then choose local cast and it should work.
