I have primarily used this printer for scanning multiple pages and then saving as PDFs. Did a great job of scanning these with auto feed. The few prints I have done are clear and colorful but the black and white documents are not as clear as a laser printer but still good.

So far this new Brother Printer MFC-J995DW is great. I how it will last as long as the old one. In the past I purchased most of the other brands and I found the Brother brand is by far the best printer on the market.

We've used this for light home use over the past 30 days and so far we like this printer. It was easy to setup and I really like the simplicity of the display. I would recommend this printer as a great alternative to HP.

This is a good printer at a good price. Setup is simple; wireless setup was seamless. Print quality is above average. 2 sided copying and a print feeder are 2 good features at this price point. We’ll see how it is in a year or so, but working great after a month.

Purchased this for my home office. Absolutely love it. The display and design may appear slightly "dated", but the mechanics and operation is excellent. This was a top recommendation on RTINGS.com Ink really does last. I've had for 6 months and printed a fair amount. I have 1000 pages of color left and 2100 of B&W. If you're looking for value, this unit has it. The ONLY thing it doesn't do which I find myself wishing for is auto-duplex scanning. You have to manually flip the page if you're doing two sided scanning. Also, room for improvement: scanning using the auto-feed tray does lead to skewed documents on the default settings. However the software has a tick box for auto de-skew. This fixes it 90%.

Good multi function printer. Only had a few weeks but it appears the ink will yield a lot of prints. Previously had an Epson printer and original ink cartridges were outrages for the # of prints. The replacement genuine replacement ink for this printer is by far a better deal per print.

I LOVE my new Brother printer! I've had HPs and Canons in the past, both were ten time's slower and ate ink. The Brother printer is quick, efficient and really like the years supply of ink. This is a no hassle printer. I highly recommend.

This printer is great in every way, except when printing in large quantities it has some trouble feeding the paper straight. It will turn it slightly and cause the edges to get torn a bit, and the printing on the page ends up coming out crooked. I don't know if it's something I'm doing or if if it's an issue with model - but overall it doesn't happen very often and it hasn't ever jammed because of it, so it's not a deal killer. I'm still happy with it overall.

Color printing is very good. Scanning is easy to use. Single Street Only one page At a time outside of paper tray. Not ideal For printing voucher size checks which is easier to put in paper tray.

Great printer overall. We are still yet to use the multiple features it is equipped with; the print quality is great and so is the scanability. The colors are sharp and vivid. Best purchase after a long wait.

My experience with the printer has been very positive. I had some hiccups getting it installed initially, but the website was very helpful and it has been great since. Fast printing, very frugal on ink. I'm very happy to have upgraded to a brother printer.

We all know the printer is typically the cheap part and we'll pay later with ink cartridge purchases. However this one is a little different because it claims the ink that comes with it will last 1 year. Efficiency was one of the most important criterias I looked for while shopping for this purchase. I wanted a color printer with a feed table scanner to complement my Laserjet black and white printer that I use for the bulk of my projects. Since I print color very little, this should work out well and last me a long time without having to buy ink. I'm taking away one star because you still have to buy cartridges once empty and they are not cheap. If it had three refillable tanks for the ink, like some of the other makes it would be a true winner. But this fit my budget at the time and I am fond of Brother printers. They have served me well over the years.

Love Brother in that you can find really cheap, compatible ink. Bought this thing in May and have not put ink in it yet. YMMV it is just a home printer for lady wife and me. And it does duplex printing!

I've had this printer for little more than a year. It worked great for working from home for the pandemic. Now all of a sudden it insists it has a paper jam even though there is nothing in it. No scraps or anything. Never had a sheet of paper come out crumpled or torn or anything. Before that, it started to printer lines crooked. Trying to run the maintenance option for that resulted in it failed to automatically correct it and the manual option doesn't actually tell you what to do. I've contacted Brother, see what they have to say.

Replaced another Brother MFC printer because the ink absorber was full after years of use. I like the new printer even better. It was very easy to install on a Windows PC. It prints better, faster and I like the new ink system.

I have a Brother toner printer that has served me well. I trusted the brand and make my selection for this printer. I had some issues in installation because I had a new router and needed help. Their tech support is excellent.

Fairly easy setup. Love it already as I have made many copies and have lots of ink left for more. Colors look good on all my prints. Still learning all the features but so far easy to use because I am not computer savvy. It has been easy to use with wireless for scanning to computer and printing from the computer. I just keep the printer on and when I am in another room it is always ready and will print. It does do 2 sided copies but not sure whether you can feed it or have to place on glass and then flip the page again. I downloaded the user manual to my computer and also to ebook on my IPad. Staples was also great honoring discounts and delivered a day earlier than listed!

Good value. Lots of features for the cost (which got even better when the price went down the next week and Best Buy refunded the difference!) Not a photo quality printer, but meets my needs perfectly. Fast, easy printing and scanning.

I purchased this printer because I was fed up with the high cost of printing cartridges!!! This one has a high capacity cartridge. I have owned the printer for over 6 months, and all cartridges show more than 50% of the ink volume left!!! How great is that!!! I am a little disappointed at the darkness of the black print, but have not adjusted the prink/ink settings. The print is readable and functional. I also have had some wireless connectivity issues, but believe that my wireless quality in my office may play a role here. Overall, I am so delighted to have a printer that does not cost a fortune for printer cartridges. Brother has some very reasonably priced INKvestment Tank printers. I would definitely buy this printer or another high volume printer again!!!

Quick printing, copying, scanning, the associated software is much better than the Epson it replaces. Able to print on both sides, and copy or scan up to 20 pages in the feeder. Very pleased with it.
