Questioni was curious if anyone knows how much electricity this unit uses on high when on eco mode? i know some use like 600-700w on high. just trying to estimate how much it’ll use

- Answer Thank you for asking your question about the use of electricity. We do not list the energy cost for each setting. The CEER for this model is 11.1 with cooling amps of 4.7 and cooling watts of 535. Hope this will help. Geoff@GEA

QuestionDoes this unit resume on power restoration? During a power failure and if the unit is running, when power is restored will the unit remember it settings and resume cooling?

- Answer Hi - Great question! Yes, this model does offer a Power Recovery feature. Once power is restored the air conditioner will resume cooling at your previously selected settings. QuestionWhy is the air conditioner not removing humidity from the room? This bedroom is always is at least 10% more humidity than all of the other rooms.

- Answer I can think of a couple of reasons one the unit might be too small for the room too you might have excessively high humidity in that room and or have you cleaned your filter

- Answer Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this window air conditioner! Correct sizing is very important when choosing an air conditioner, so we appreciate you asking. This 6,000 BTU unit is ideal for cooling spaces from 150 sq. ft. to 250 sq. ft. While your room is only slightly smaller, when there are more BTUs than the room needs, cooling performance can be negatively impacted. We do have a model, AHP05LZ, which has 5,050 BTUs of cooling power and is meant for rooms from 100 to 150 sq. ft., if that may be a better fit for you. QuestionHow many room will it cool

- Answer It is only intended for a small room. Now if you intend to use it for multiple rooms like living and dining rooms you would need a higher btu maybe at 10000 or 12000 again depending on the square footage.

QuestionWe have had this air conditioner for about two months. It works great but on the outside of the unit on the one whole side it has this rust color liquid on it and some has splashed on the window frame. Is the unit rusting out already?

- Answer You do not have to use the side panels. You will need a screwdriver to install the top rail. It is not clear in the description but this a/c never turns off.

Questioninstalled it according to instructions, but had a piece left over. It is approx 18” x 6.75” and has a slider to extend. There is no mention of this piece anywhere. Came home from vacation to a flood in my bedroom. What do I do with this piece?

- Answer If rubber drain plug is out , on the bottom, it will steadily drip water with use, and be less efficient the manual Says. The fan splashes the excess water and it helps cool the condenser, but at the cost of added noise. I leave the plug out and it just drips outside. Any left over parts and pieces I just throw in the trash. That’s what professionals do

QuestionWe bought unit 2 days ago and it makes about 4 different noises, some pretty loud that it wakes us up a lot at night. Also, there is a rubber cover on the drain plug. Can it be removed? How does the unit drain properly and not cause spitting.

- Answer We removed it because it wasn’t draining. You have to make sure you have it positioned so it slants slightly back a little. That’s what we did and it ran quieter and drained. Before we did that it was draining water onto my son’s window sill. If that doesn’t help then I would return it. Exchange it for a new one. Or buy a different model. Just don’t get a portable one we have one of those for the dining room it’s a big one and it’s a pain in the you know what.
