Q: QuestionMy filter light is flickering after I cleaned and dried the filter. The ac unit sounds different when I turn it on now—it’s louder, heavier, and the air quality is different. Why is this happening? I also noticed styrofoam inside the fan area—remove this?

• A:Answer The foamlike material is used as an insulator and should not be removed. If you are continuing to have an issue with the Filter light flickering and/or the air conditioner is not cooling properly, we recommend disconnecting power to your air conditioner for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics. If the issue persists once power is restored and the unit is less than 90 days old, please return the unit to your retailer for an exchange. • A:Answer Either one of two things. The Eco mode likes to turn on by default and the fan mode will be on auto when this happens the unit will power down until the temperature rises a few degrees above the set temperature. My unit will start back up again. To avoid this set the mode to Cool and fan to low med ot high. The second thing could be if you have a conflicting schedule set in the app.
