Contractor arrived w/my TV on time for appt. He & his son brought it in, had it unboxed and set up in under 30 min.
After connecting it to my internet he showed me demos that showcased the color clarity and gave me info on min suggested hrs to watch T.V before getting it calibrated.
Overall very happy w/the service!

We bought a 62 inch TV and had another one, previously bought, moved to another room and attached to a wall mount with Geek Squad and had the wires hidden behind the wall; love it. Could have saved our marriage, you never know. LOL

Installed 60" tv above my fireplace on a stone surface. The 2 installers were right on time, took them only about 1 hour, were very professional, and cleaned up when they were finished. Did a great job, would highly recommend using Magnolia at Best Buy for your custom tv installation

To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I write this long overdue letter in regards to the outstanding service that the Geek Squad Technicians located at Best Buy, 8012 N. 10th Street, McAllen, Texas demonstrated by setting up and mounting our 75 inch Sony TV screen on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
My family and I would like to personally say, “Thank You” to Nathan, George and Daniel who did an outstanding job with facilitating the installation. Each of these technicians were very polite, professional, and well-versed in their field of expertise. They were prompt with their time of arrival, extremely efficient demonstrating “Time on Task”, and courteous enough to answer questions thoroughly while completing their installation. We felt very comfortable having these technicians in our home. Each of the technicians – Nathan, George and Daniel were very friendly and approachable which is extremely vital in establishing excellent public relation skills with Best Buy Customers.
We were very impressed with the caliber of expertise and the quality of personal attention that each of these individuals conveyed, particularly when these traits are rare in this day and age.
On behalf of the Rodriguez Family, we would all like to sincerely acknowledge and thank each individual technician for their contribution in completing an outstanding job in our home.
We absolutely love our television, and would also like to say “Thank You” to the Managerial Personnel who also assisted us when the computer system went down in the store during our purchase. I do not know their complete names, but they all made it happen – Frank, Mr. Matias and assistant Sophia and your General Manager for assisting us with our television.
This is not the first time that we have received excellent service from your store, but this was the first time we had ever received Geek Squad Service in our home. Your technicians made quite an impression on us, and we would like to sincerely say, “Thank You”!!!!!!

Let Geek Squad do the work...you won't regret it

Okay, so you bought your flatscreen tv and now want to get the mounting equipment to place it on the wall, rather than have to buy a tv stand and take up space you don't have in your living room or other room...but you don't want to pay the price of having someone else do it.
Look, unless you regularly mount televisions for a living, and don't mind the toil of trying to link a DVD player, FIOS / Cable box, PS4 / XBox and all the other doodads and gadgets that you have to your television, just do yourself a favor and let Geek Squad do the work.
Does it mean you have to set up an appointment to have them come out? Yes. Does it mean you'll have to wait a few days or a week before that brand new television you bought is up and running? Yes? But in the long run, you'll thank yourself for doing it.
The Geek Squad guys come out, put on protective covers on their shoes to avoid messing up your floors / carpets, they measure where you want the television placed, they ask YOU where you want it, how high up, etc. and then they go to work. In half the time you might take if you knew what you were doing, these guys have the television mounted, plugged in, connected to everything you want to run, and are explaining to you how it all works...all without making you feel like the idiot you probably are when it comes to understanding all the complexities of modern technology.
If you want to save the money and do it yourself, go ahead...but if you'd rather have it done, and know that it was done right the first time...be willing to pay for the additional charge and relax knowing everything is going to work fine.
In the end, they ask you if you're satisfied, they ask if you have any questions, and won't leave until you're satisfied with what they did.
So make the right call...

Exemplary Installers

So we had 2 sets of installers from Geek Squad. The first pair came to deliver and set up our LG C8 65 inch TV, Yamaha 7.1 Surround Sound Home Theater Receiver and run cable to connect to our 6 Infinity Home Theater speakers (2 front towers, 2 rear, center channel and sub-woofer) They worked efficiently and neatly, were able to answer all our questions, explained how everything worked and cleaned up the installation debris while also removing all boxes and packing materials. We then purchased a Harmony universal remote controller and this was delivered and set up by another pair of Geek Squad guys. We found them to be very knowledgeable, good communicators and eminently patient with 2 folks who are not so tech comfortable. By the time that they left, we were both able to navigate the remote and get all components in our new home theater system working together. They assured us that we had room to grow our system in the future should we want/need to and that the new remote could handle it. Having purchased a 5 year Geek Squad contract at time of purchase we are confident that we will have help whenever we might need it.

We upgraded our audio/video system in our home. It was 15 years old and new technology allows us to do so much more. The Geek Squad came out and reviewed everything that we had. They provided recommendations with options on what we could do with our existing system. We also upgraded our Wi-Fi to accommodate the new Sonos audio. The work was done all in one day, with three techs here at the same time. They managed and took care of every detail and explained how to use the new system which was quite different than the old. As follow-up, they have immediately gotten back to me when I have had questions or wanted to add a function. My husband and I are both engineers and could probably have pieced together something but I am certain it would have taken us months to figure out what we wanted and then weeks to get it working. The Geek Squad knows what is available and how to put it together into a working system. They also cleaned up the mess of wires that we have connected to all the equipment. We have a very complex system where we can control many locations with different functions at the same time. We would use them again and recommend them.

Very Much Worth the Extra Cost

I normally would never pay extra to set up any electronics but in this case I decided that it was worth the cost since too many high-end TVs can have problems to start and also the set up can be very complicated to get everything right.
I had a Geek Squad member, Todd, who was fantastic! He connected everything and explained what my receiver would be able to do and was surprised that it can do pretty much everything.
But the set up/settings of an OLED TV are so many that I think it would have taken me hours to get through the menu. I normally ask questions but in this case I just let him fly through all the settings which seemed like a 100 or more...lol But the final result was fantastic since he has set up the same TV and receiver before and knew everything possible about the set up.
I likely did save many hours because Todd was just fantastic and knowledgeable about every component.

I used the Geek Squad because I was moving from a 5.1 to a 7.1 surround system and I am done running wires through the attic and then through walls. So for me, paying them to do the work is worth the extra expense.
When the technician arrived and saw my setup, he recommended that I move to an Atmos Dolby setup. I am glad I took his advice.
Only complaint, the store had to charge me a TV setup fee with a stereo connection as an add on, I feel that the store need to reevaluate how this is setup, in the end what the technician had done, was something I could have done with ease. Had the store offered a free home inspection on what it would have taken to upgrade my surround system, it would have saved me $200.00. What I was paying for the equipment, home inspection should be included. If the Geek Squad is installing equipment not purchased at Best Buy, then I can agree with the fee.

We bought a 65 inch TV and sound bar. For the first time, we opted to purchase the Geek Squad set-up service for both devices. It was money well-spent! The 2 men (Nicholas and Corey) who delivered and set-up the devices were professional, polite and extremely competent. They moved our old set to where we wanted and made sure it was working properly in its new location. Then they set up our new TV and sound bar and made sure everything was connected and working correctly. They programmed our remote for the new equipment. They cleaned everything up, made sure our cables were bundled neatly, gave us information about the equipment and tips for usage They were here 2 hours, but saved us hours of work and probable frustration if we had done everything ourselves. I will certainly utilize this service in the future and can highly recommend it to others.

Suddenly having found myself in need of a new TV, I decided to purchase from BestBuy a LG OLED 55B7A . I opted to have it delivered with Geek squad installation to avoid hassles. Great move on my part! After keeping me informed by email at each step along the way, the team arrived at the appointed time and with in minutes had the set in place. In about an hour time, the set was working and all necessary programming accomplished. Their cleanup was excellent and all trash removed.
The most striking part of the installation was without a doubt the two member team. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, efficient, and respectful. The appropriate amount of time was used. The one item I appreciated most was the fact that they would not leave until they were convinced I had an understanding of what I purchased and how it operated.

Bobby was my Geek Squad specialist
He was knowledgeable not only about the new equipment I was purchasing but also the older equipment I was replacing. He was methodical and efficient setting up two rooms but I never felt he was rushed to get to the next account and took the time to sit with me and advise and answer all my questions as I took notes. Many times in the past after the tech person leaves I immediately get stuck. Not in this case; he talked me through all the setting, options and scenarios I could use with the new system so I was totally clear. After all that he offered his cell number to text him if I did run into any issues. Very refreshing to be treated and have that kind of personal service from a large company. 5 stars.!!!!

My husband and I decided to cut the cable cord and to go antenna TV. Well our Geek Squad guy (Kanen Coyan) set up the antenna's and also the converter boxes. Explained everything very throughly and we thought all was going to be wonderful. Well after about a week of some TV's working with the antenna and others deciding not to I called him. He set up an appointment and explained the Roku. We went with two sticks and have now changed out the ancient TV's that had been on life support. He stayed with me until I felt very comfortable with the ROKU. He said if I had any further problems to call him. I have hsi card. He was friendly and professional and at no time did I feel like I was asking a dumb question. I would definitely recommend the Geek Squad and certainly Kanen.

I had my Sony 930e UHD TV delivered and set up by the Best Buy Geek Squad yesterday. I could not be happier with the service. Delivery was available within 2 days of purchase. I opted for an afternoon delivery but received a call earlier in the morning on the delivery day letting me know the TV could be at my home before noon if I wanted. The guys called again when they were enroute to my home. The delivery/setup went off without a hitch. They did a nice job installing and setting up the TV and took plenty of time explaining features and how to operate the TV. As a side note, when you opt for delivery and setup, you get 25% off any extended warranty, which makes the setup pay for itself. I am very pleased with the “Geek Squad “ service and highly recommend it.
