QuestionDoes geek squad clone hard drives? I have an ssd and an hdd. The ssd has windows but my documents (which would normally be on C, but it's on my hdd instead for space reasons) and all those files are on my hdd. My hdd is about to fail. I'd like to replace

- Answer Since I just had a laptop die that I had “backed up” to an SSD and purchased new Dell. Geek set it up for me. They do not like to clone the HD. Something about if there are any bad things on old drive it will get transferred to new drive. They will put the backup from the SSD onto new drive. Problem with that is that a backup from a Windows machine does not backup or copy all registries from your software apps. Very irritating. Happened to me for Quicken program.

QuestionBest Buy transferred content files to the desktop on the new computer. How can I find them? The folders are not helpful. But I did find them once! How can I find them again?

- Answer I had an old Dell 256 and they worked wonders in transferring the data to an external hard drive in about 48 hours. My old computer was about 15 years old but that didnt matter at all. Was very pleased with the work and the speedy service.
