I elected to have Best Buy’s Geek Squad come out for in-home PC setup and data migration from my trusty but aging 2006 Dell Dimension XPS400 tower PC to my new HP 24" All-in-One PC. The Geek Squad tech copied all my programs and files over including Word 2010, Excel 2010, Outlook 2010, printer drivers, etc. It took him 2 hours using discs and jump drives that he brought. He performed several complex-looking functions to move everything over, connect my email program, and connect my veteran HP 882C desk jet printer, all successfully. I was glad I elected not to try and do this on my own.

Thank goodness for our friends at Geek Squad. Our gentlemen was wonderful in setting up our new Mac, transferring our data from the old PC. to our Mac. Thank you.

Every aspect of transferring my old data to my new system was done without a hitch. The Geek Squad representative even got my two-monitor arrangement working, which is vital to my productivity.

The agent transferred all files and programs from my old to my new Lenovo. Took time to answer questions about the changes.

I bought my new laptop on April 3rd - migration was on 4/16 - cancelled due to over data limit which i did not know about. Rescheduled on 4/26 - cancelled as tech did not come to work - rescheduled on 5/5. we will see if that happens.

Although I have had little time to use my newly installed HP PC, I am very pleased, thus far. Jerry, my Best Buy tech, did a phenomenal job re installation; he is very knowledgeable. Moreover, he simplified, and explained, various procedures for my benefit. Please know that Jerry, whom I never met prior to his arrival at our home today, is a definite asset re your company.

The technician was professional and shared his expertise in an easy to understand way in explaining what he was doing and why. And he gave me recommendations and things to pay attention to so I could quickly and easily use my laptop.

Our Geek Squad agent did an excellent job and went over and above our expectations, making sure everything was set up to our satisfaction prior to leaving. He answered all of my questions and did not make me feel like they were dumb questions but seemed to enjoy teaching me about our new Mac desktop. Even though it took longer than he was scheduled for the data to download onto the My Passport external hard drive, he stayed to make sure that the job was complete. He was very knowledgeable about our products and explained everything. We were so thankful for his help as we could not have done it on our own, well worth it at a great price for a whole year of support. Geek Squad is a great choice as they will alleviate all your tech anxieties.

I purchased Total Tech when I bought my new laptop at Best Buy because I needed help getting the new system set up and data migrated from my old laptop. My initial appointment got messed up with a staff call out and i wasn't able to get it rescheduled online so went back to the store and spoke with the manager. He found the problem/glitch in scheduling and fixed it, had a new appointment set up and put me at the front of the list for any cancellations. Two days later I had a call that a tech would be out that day. My tech was on time and probably THE BEST IT tech I have worked with in my professional career as a technical recruiter. His setup of my new system was perfect and I have all data handy and easy to find. It was an amazing service experience!

Okay, this service is far from free, but worth it! I would not have been able to set-up a new computer and printer, and get it to the point of working well for me on day one. "Michael" was so patient, explaining clearly whatever I needed to know. He was professional and pleasant throughout the appointment. He didn't even mind when one of my dogs tried to flirt him to death.

The in-home service provided by Tyler was excellent. I was disappointed at two prior attempts to have my Acer laptop set up and the data transferred from my prior computer. The first man interrupted the download before it was finished, because he said he had to leave for another service call. He said I could use the computer, but I had to schedule an appointment at the store so they could have enough time to do the transfer. So, I made the appointment, drove 23 miles to Best Buy and back. Two days later, I was informed my laptop was ready. Back and forth I go again to Best Buy. When I got home, I could not see anything that was changed on the computer. I still didn’t have many of my documents, my settings were different than I needed due to a Windows 11 update, and I could not see any graphics that were in e-mails. Ty analyzed the prior setup of my data folders in the new laptop and compared it to the folders on the hard drive of my old laptop. He found the appropriate folders to update, adjusted my security and desktop settings as he explained everything he did, and gave me very helpful tips to secure my data. While the files were updating, he offered to use the time to look at the setup of my TV, Roku device, and sound bar. He juggled the settings on 3 separate remote controls until everything, including the subwoofer, were set up as I wished. Tyler's customer focus is exceptional. He is quite persistent to find the root cause of problems and properly resolve them. He explains things clearly, and he is a pleasure to speak with. I was worried about getting my laptop properly setup after having prior issues with Total Tech about the mounting of our smart tv, and the correct programming of my Roku AND the TV. Tyler not only fixed the laptop, he also fixed my other issue which saves Best Buy from having to address another service call. Treat him well. The service provided by the Geek Squad members was invaluable in setting up my new computer, transferring my files from my old computer, setting up my new printer and explaining everything to me. They also made sure that I was able to access on my files and programs on my computer and the printer interacted with the computer. Well worth the value of the membership!! They were professional and courteous and answered all my questions.

I had a Geek agent come to my home to determine what graphics card would be best for my 8-year-old computer. He determined (as I expected because of the age of my computer) that my computer didn't have enough power to handle a better graphics card. So, I had him help me buy a new computer. That saved me lots of time trying to learn all about the features of current computers on my own. My agent was very helpful and patient. We chose a computer, and he came back to install it and transfer all of my files and software to the new computer. He made sure that I could work with the new computer before leaving. He even came back about a week later to answer any questions I still had. My agent was friendly, helpful, and patient with all of my questions. And he was very knowledgeable! I could tell he was very experienced with computer installations and data transfers. I absolutely love the computer he recommended. And I love the Geek in the home service. One of the best features of having a Geek agent work on my computer in my house is that I could sit next to him and ask questions and make sure that certain things were set up in ways that I needed. You can't get that personalization with in-store service. I will never haul my computer into the store again for repair. The Geek Squad agent is my hero!
