Installers were unable to set-up antenna on my roof. They informed me that they are not allowed to do this. this was never mentioned when I scheduled the install. If they had i would not have scheduled the install. Additionally, I am having a hard time getting them to refund the $$ refunded I pre-paid for the install.

The installer arrived hours late and was not safely prepared to go up on my roof at almost dark. He had no safety equipment like harnesses or ropes and was alone. Best Buy subcontractors should meet OSHA standards it’s Best Buy’s responsibility! I cancelled my order and refused to let him on the my roof to install

The antenna was install in the correct spot and works well... until wind picks up. Wind will move the antenna off alignment because the arm was not tightened. I don't own a ladder tall enough to do this (this is why I had to purchase this service). Instead I had to but a telescopic pole that allows me to realign the antenna after every wind event. I expect Best Buy to do the right thing and have someone get up there and tighten the antenna.

Absolutely happy with the entire Best Buy experience for installing my new Starlink satellite internet system! Best experience I’ve had with customer service in years! From the initial contact to the young man who performed the installation. I cannot think of so much as one thing that would have made the experience better. One cannot improve on perfection!

I will give 0 but dont let me! I set up instalation for November 23, I takeday off from work to be at home when installer arrive. Wait all day and nooane call or show up. I contacted Best Buy and they told me they cant do anything about because is not Best Buy the company doin the instalación! Stay await from Best buy they even give me apology for the inconvenience! Waste a day with out paid for nothing!

I had issues finding the proper position for satellite signal but after it was found i love it !! Best advice is if you dont currently have internet have it professionally installed by Geek Sqaud or rely on your smart ohone to find the proper placement where there is no blockage loke trees or buildings

The installer did a great job. He mounted it to my chimney in a way that it has a perfect view of the sky yet is completely out of sight unless you know exactly where to look to see it.

Geek Squad does NOT install StarLink. They simply refer you to a local StarLink independent contractor who calls at odd times, leaves a message to call back, then never does. Best Buy doesn't represent these service providers at all, so there is ZERO consequence to the IC for being total flakes!!! Bad experience.

I am beyond frustrated. I am giving this one star because the install has still not been done yet but with the ordeal that this has been, I would give this 0 stars if I could. I am trying to get starlink installed at our new house since we moved in at the beginning of May but unfortunately, the first availible appointment was not until May 24. I work from home so this was not good for me as I had no Internet so I bought a hotspot to try to use until the install. I was told by multiple best buy associates in multiple chat sessions that all I needed was the starlink kit and the installers had everything else to get it installed. Well I get to the day before the install and the install calls me and asks me if I had ordered the mount and stated that I needed to order that before they could do anything. Due to this I had to push out the appointment again to May 31st ( which was an ordeal in of itself as the system kept cancelling my appointment despite reaching to best buy multiple times) while I got the mount ordered. Fast forward to today's appointment that I was suppose to have, I got a call today last minute from the installer around the time they were suppose to be here staying that the technician that was suppose to do the install was having vehicle trouble and they told me that they did not have any other available technicians to come out and do the install today so they are rescheduling for Monday June 3rd. According to the weather forecast I am not even sure if that will happen as it is suppose to storm here. I am just beyond frustrated as it has been a full month now and I have sunk a bunch of money into all the starlink gear as well as the install service and I am still having to use an awful hotspot for work that is about out of data. At this point in time I would not recommend going through this process to anyone especially if you work from home like I do. This has been a total nightmare

They did nothing!!! Had to have my neighbor install all...after 5 times they cancelled, re-canceled, did not show up!!!!! Also had to cancel my order and buy it at the store. It has been a MESS!!! The only reason you still have me as a customer is that I WANT this. But it should not have been so difficult to get!

The first installer was scheduled and arrived before the Starlink system was delivered. I told the scheduler the system was not delivered yet but she sent the installer anyway. The installer who arrived told me he would not install it on the roof for his own safety. When the dish arrived, I discovered it only has a small plastic bracket on the back not suited for roof mounting. I ordered a roof mounting bracket. Another installer called to set up a time for installation. I told him the mounting bracket was on order but had not arrived. I told him when it arrived I would call him and reschedule. Then the Best Buy scheduler called me ask me when I wanted to schedule the installation. I explained to her that I had already scheduled a time and date with their installer. That time and date came and no installer. I called the installer to find out why he hadn’t kept the appointment only to be told Best Buy had canceled the installation I had already paid for. I called the Best Buy scheduler three times and left messages to call back. No response. Best Buy did refund the installation charge which was the only good thing that came out of this experience.

Starlink itself is an incredible welcome change to Optimum. Best Buy geeksquad farmed out installation to 3rd party who cancelled on me 2 times and cost me over $1000 in additional money on top of the 399.00 i paid for installation from geeksquad. I will never use them again, nor will i purchase anything else from best buy. Best Buy also doesnt return phone calls in which they were checking to see what they could do to compensate me. Better to go directly thru Starlink.

My installation service was exceptional. The technician was courteous, patient, and very helpful answering all my questions. I would highly recommend the Geek Squad.
