- Answer Hello JJS369 – The timing on an upgrade will depend on the current workload in the store. In some cases we’ll be able to get it done same-day, but sometimes we may need check the computer in for a day or two to finish the work. Please call your local store and ask to speak with the Geek Squad. They can give you an idea of their current turn time.

- Answer If you are going to install Windows, yes. Otherwise it is not necessary since your computer is going to read the disk anyway. In case you are going to use that disk as data, there is no problem.

- Answer NO! THEY WON'T! We bought a new desktop for our small business at Best Buy with the condition that they would transfer all old business data (all data)to the new computer. AFTER we purchased it and they set it up, Geek Squad refused to transfer any home or business data or accounts, saying they "weren't allowed". Now we have a loose hard drive with all our data and no way to read it. They have created a mess that I am not sure how to fix and I'm furious. So, your answer is, No, they won't

- Answer If it is just RAM they can replace it, but depending on what you need or how long you plan to use your computer (of course depending what your computer is capable of holding) you might want to go higher.
