service was perfect... it was not for a virus removal, but a fresh windows reinstall and save the data. he was not scheduled to be here for very long, but stayed and solved my issue. the windows reinstall was what was needed to fix the problem for the TECHNICIANS that were trying to help on the phone or anyone that cares. the underlining problem occurred again. i had a windows update the night before.... and i had been online all morning and at 1pm, the same problem occurred... the same one the tech support on phone tried to help with and could not. i REMEMBER what the tech did when he came to my home and was going to try it. basically a fresh windows install... that would cause be about 6hrs worth of work to get my programs and sites working again. .... i am dumb with computers,,, so i was going to take pictures with my iphone at each step... as i was pretty sure i was going to mess it up.... but did not want to be without a computer for a week again. (bought a NEW computer from bestbuy yesterday btw). i needed the phone to charge... so i plugged it in and took a 25minute nap. woke and was ready to do hopefully repeat what the tech did, that fixed my computer the MAIN problem. is one minute i was surfing online and computer is working so well. the next minute no access to any website page. originally before the tech guy came to home. .... i had called spectrum and talked to him for 60minutes. ... he said everyone in house and even my computer should be getting 850mps download... he checked everything and even reset the internet from his office. still not work. he recommended calling tech support for laptop next i called geek squad and was on phone for maybe 90minutes. he recommended bringing it in or someone coming to home (for fee)... i have LATE STAGE MS.... so coming to home was great to have available. the problem when he made the appointment.... he mislabeled what the problem was... and TECH that came to home was not sure there was time for a WINDOWS install. but he stayed and did it :) TY TY that is the back story. NOW for the part that will hopefully help you tech people for future when this problem happens. its from an ACER PREDATOR laptop i bought at bestbuy. .... sooo i am 10 seconds ready to click on the windows install button (i was scared, as i know nothing about computers). ... right before i clicked on it....i get an ACER BOX notification in bottom right corner. (this is soo random and out of the blue... i did notice that i was getting more notifications after his windows install.... but non from ACER before clicking the button to start windows install.... i read the ACER NOTICIFATION (about KILLER) ... i only know about KILLER from youtube and trying to fix it myself... so i looked and it was very simple. it said upload speed was 1000mbs and download speed was 0. .... so me not knowing anything about this stuff... i remembered talking to spectrum internet and they said i should be getting 850mps. .... so i entered 850 :) EVERYTHING lit up and worked. i was sooo happy... such an easy fix. BTW, it does this ever few weeks... where it resets to zero. i pinned the killer app to my task bar,,, so easy to find and fix :) SO add that to something your TECH people should look at for potential issues :) they will be rockstars. this is a huge problem and i can SEE all the searches for fixes online and youtube. this could be one of the potential fixes for you to look at... screen shot below TY AGAIN for the TECH that stayed extra time to fix my laptop :) have a NEW bestbuy laptop now... so hopefully not needing any help for awhile )

The geek squad, V.J. Searched for me and found a computer that met specifications given to me by my work related IT department. He then installed the computer for me and got it operating satisfactory in a very short time.

The agent, cleaned and updated my computer. Smart, respectful and pertinent. Great job and very nice person.

My desk top computer was hacked when I opened an email. I contacted Geek Squad and made an appointment for an in home virus removal. The Geek Squad technician visited later that week and scanned my computer with two different products and removed a number of files. I observed as he carried out this procedure and examined the results. There has been no trace of the hackers since the Geek Squad visit. The work took about an hour. The technician was very pleasant and efficient.

Jonathan was so kind and took the virus off my computer and got everything working perfectly again. Thank you Geek Squad for making this service available to handicapped people who can't bring their computers into the store.

The Geek Squad agent checked my HP desktop computer for viruses as well as any other problems/concerns. I was pleased with the effort he applied to get my desktop up and running efficiently, while explaining every single step to help me understand all of the things he did.

This was actually upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and figuring out why my pc was freezing multiple times a day. It took a little over an hour of work and another 2+ hours after the technician left - most of that was downloading Windows 11. All problems appear to be fixed!!!

The man who came here was excellent in all ways. He came on time and I stayed in the room to answer any questions he may have. He worked for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The computer is working perfectly now. This was the first time that I have had the technician work in my house in over 25 years and I liked it very much.

Louis, my repair engineer, arrived on time. He got to work right away and completed cleaning my computer from a recent Hacker, making sure my computer was safe for resuming business.

The two young men that came today were wonderful!! They were polite, friendly, and got right to work. They had to fix our daughter's computer and I really thought that they would have some issues. She is deaf and it is not always easy to communicate with a deaf person. I really thought that I would have to be right there to 'help' with questions, etc. But Doug and my daughter were able to establish a system with out me. That was really great.! It showed me that Doug and other Doug had patience and understanding. She was very comfortable and didn't need my 'help' at all!! Thank you for sending two such caring and helpful men to our home. Oh yes! commuter is working fine now and our daughter is still smiling and very happy.

I had a geek squad come to my house to clean out My computer due to hacking. He was prompt and cleaned out a lot from my computer. He took a lot of time explaining the results. He also took some time to train me on what to do and look our for a scam.

I forgot to tell him to install a new IP address on my my computer and now I got a "crazy" msg on my pc today and it said someone is trying to get my info by getting into my IP address. thats not good......
